Tea Cup
The steeping of the tea is called the agony of the leaf because the leaf is letting go of all its goodness that it has worked so hard to preserve/retain through the leaf's growing and processing.
Once the leaf is submerged into the hot water, the leaf unfurls, releasing its aroma and flavonoids and it is said that the leaf is in agony.
