The Tradewinds Beverage Company goes to extraordinary efforts to brew the most authentic tea available in ready to drink (RTD) containers with our proprietary kettle brewing process. We are also committed to helping people and the environment.
Our fresh brewed just before bottling process takes the tea leaf from it’s natural state to kettle brewed in the bottle in one continuous step assuring the purest and freshest tea taste while also being energy efficient. Brewing directly from the tea leaves rather than utilizing powdered teas or tea concentrates save manufacturing and transportation energy while delivering a considerably less processed (i.e. more natural) tea to the shelf. Additionally, our fresh brewed just before bottling process enables us to transfer the heat from brewing directly to the hot-fill pasteurization process in a heat recovery system unique to Tradewinds.
As a promoter of tea, we support the tea gardens that cover vast regions of the world. Tea trees are viable producers for up to 100 years compared with the 15-25 years of a coffee plant. Tea gardens prevent erosion, absorb CO2, and create preserved bio-regions, home to many companion plants and animals. Also, Tradewinds is currently developing the means to turn our spent tea leaves (hundreds of tons annually) into fertilizer. Tea’s acidic nature makes it an ideal fertilizer for tomatoes and roses.
IMPROVING OUR COMMUNITIES
Tradewinds has a long standing tradition (since our inception in 1993) of donating tea to local charitable organizations for their picnics, fund-raisers, and sporting events. We are an employee owned company with a substantial profit sharing and 401K program.
